Naomi Heindel, ’03

Brief Biography

Naomi is a graduate of Vermont Commons School (‘03) and is currently relocating back to Vermont from Jackson, WY. In Jackson, Naomi spent seven years at Teton Science Schools managing residential place-based outdoor science programs in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and surrounding public lands. She also directed Teton Science Schools’ AmeriCorps program, an educator development national service program for early career environmental educators. Naomi will soon be taking over as Executive Director of North Branch Nature Center in Montpelier, VT and is excited to continue to connect people to the natural world there. Naomi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Earth Science from Dartmouth College and a Masters of Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She loves hiking, skiing, canoeing, cooking, reading, and playing music with her husband and two young kids.
