Building the Future

The Campaign for Vermont Commons

A multi-year capital campaign centered on expanding and improving VCS’s physical campus, the Campaign for Vermont Commons has successfully raised funds to provide students and faculty with:

  • A gym
  • A library
  • A music suite with individual practice rooms
  • A weight room
  • Additional classroom and office space

We have proudly hosted volleyball and basketball games on our home courts, for the first time in our school’s 27-year history. We have had dances in our gym and reading periods in our library. There is still work to do, but it’s almost difficult to recall a time when we didn’t have these things!

The next stage of the Campaign will focus on creating a true outdoor learning center at our 55-acre Outdoor Education Center in Charlotte so that our students and faculty can explore and conduct research on this beautiful piece of land safely, year-round.
