Why Vermont Commons?

At Vermont Commons School, learning is a shared pursuit. Each of us is a valued member of the VCS community with important contributions to make. All learning is based on our active participation, curiosity, critical thinking, and connection with the world around us. We believe that our relationships with one another are essential for enjoyable and effective learning: student-to-student, student-to-teacher, teacher-to-teacher. You only need to spend a few minutes with us to know that our students are at the center of everything we do at Vermont Commons.

We love sharing details about our project based, experiential learning, the VCS Outdoor Education Center, Encounter Experiences, college preparatory high school and middle school curriculum, opportunities for independent study, and more! Whether you have specific questions or seek more general information, we’d love to connect.
