Brief Bio

Kurt is the parent of 8th grade Vermont Commons School student Remy. His membership on the board is based on his belief in the mission and philosophy of VCS and is a strong supporter of diversity, international experience, and community service in the educational process. He has worked in the non-profit, higher education, and private business sectors of veterinary medicine.

Kurt has a BA from Colgate University, DVM from Cornell University and MS from Virginia Tech. He was on faculty at Texas A&M and the University of California, Davis, prior to starting a private referral practice in Williston. He also served in the Peace Corps and participates in international school construction.
