Corey Wheatley-Starbuck

Brief Biography

Corey Wheatley – Starbuck recently joined the board of Vermont Commons School to help serve the local Vermont area in expanding educational opportunities. A big believer in the values VCS offers students and passionate for fundraising, Corey is excited to help grow and enable success for VCS for many years to come and is currently leading the Long Term Enrollment committee.

Corey grew up in Essex, VT and attended Westminster School in Simsbury, CT for high school. He graduated with a B.S. in Marketing Communication from Emerson College in Boston, MA. Post-graduation, Corey moved to New York City and began his career at American Express where he has been employed for the past eight years. He has held a variety of roles from customer service communications, product management, and marketing to business development. He also has been involved in fundraising for local non-profits, Junior Achievement, and the Stonewall Communication Foundation (former board member).

Corey currently resides with his husband Mike and two dogs (Clark and Skibo) in Astoria, NY. He loves to travel and explore new destinations and spend time in Vermont on Lake Champlain with his family during the summer time.
