Summer Driver’s Ed
Driver’s Education Course – July 6-August 5
Taught by Epic Driving, this DMV-certified driver’s ed course is for teenagers and young adults who have a valid Vermont Learner’s Permit, or will have one by the start of the course.
Attendance is required for all scheduled classes for successful course completion. Please do not register for the class if there are dates you know you cannot attend. Students must also be able to attend additional driving appointments each week. Making up missed class time or driving appointments may be subject to additional fees. Schedule Details:
- Class will meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, 6:00-8:00pm.
- Monday and Tuesday classes will be synchronous virtual sessions.
- Orientation (July 6th) and all Wednesday classes will be in-person at 75 Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington.
- Students will have an additional two-hour driving appointment each week. These appointments will fall between 8:00am-4:15pm, Monday-Thursday, and will be scheduled directly with the instructor after registration.
Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 60 minutes of instruction and 60 minutes of observation while paired with another student.
