Cancellation Policy

Vermont Commons School may cancel programming due to insufficient enrollment, weather, or instructor cancellations, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of such a cancellation, program enrollment fees will be refunded in full. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement or rescheduling of the programming, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the registration to the rescheduled date.

Refund Policy

To make changes to an active registration, email Katherine Bailey, Director of Auxiliary Programs, at kbailey@vermontcommons.org.

A non-refundable $25 processing fee is built into the total program enrollment fee. In the event of a refund being issued due to a registrant-initiated cancellation, the refund amount will be calculated from the total program enrollment fee minus the non-refundable processing fee.

Full refunds can be issued if a request to cancel is received 7 or more business days prior to the program. If a cancellation request is received in less time and the open slot can be filled from a wait list, the cancelling registrant can receive a full refund.

Partial refunds, defined as 75% of the program enrollment fee not including the non-refundable processing fee, can be issued if a request to cancel is received 2-6 business days prior to the program.

If a request to cancel is received fewer than 2 business days prior to the program, no refund will be given. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the school’s discretion.

Refunds will not be issued if a participant is dismissed from the program for any reason.

Scholarship. Community. Global Responsibility.

Students emerge from their time at Vermont Commons School intrinsically motivated to seek out their role for improving the world, with the skills and competencies to do so.
