When to Apply

Vermont Commons is currently accepting applications for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years. Completed applications are considered on space-available rolling basis for grades 6-11. We do, on occasion, admit one year seniors. Applicants interested in applying for the 2025-26 school year are encouraged to reach out to the admissions office to begin the application process.

Mid-Year Applicants

Applicants interested in transferring to Vermont Commons during the school year follow the same application procedure as outlined on the Steps for Admission page.  The application process can take several weeks to complete and a student must complete the entire process prior to enrolling. If accepted, the student and family must complete all enrollment paperwork and make a tuition payment prior to their first day of class.

Homeschool Applicants

Vermont Commons offers homeschool applicants the opportunity to enroll in one or two classes at a time (for example, math and science). Applicants interested in this option follow the same application procedure as outlined on the Steps for Admission page. Please reach out to the admissions office to learn more including tuition rates for this program.

Start the Online Application

The online application is one of the first steps of the application process. Students and parents/guardians need to complete the application together. Once you’ve started the application you will be assigned a checklist that includes all of the remaining steps of the process. A non-refundable fee of $50 must be submitted with each application.
