Spring Arts Night

On Thursday, May 19th, the VCS Arts Council presented Spring Arts Night! Festivities kicked off early with Yum! Food Truck right outside the student entrance. Students and families couldn’t resist the opportunity to enjoy a sno-cone, an order of mac and cheese, or a sandwich before the show began. At 5:00pm our Concert Band, Chamber Ensemble, and Jazz Bands performed for a full crowd in the Commons Room. Fan favorites included When I’m Sixty-Four, the Jurassic Park theme song, and Saturday in the Park by Chicago. Kudos to Matt Davide for leading our musicians to to great heights! The fun didn’t stop there. Art teacher Frances Cannon invited all attendees to explore the school gallery and view student art on display. Several students stood with their art ready to share with folks as they walked about the building. Student work included drawings, paintings, photography, comics, clay and more! This was a wonderful culmination of the entire semester of Arts and we are so proud of all that our students have accomplished!
