The Latest on the Campaign

Sunrise over a misty field. In the foreground is a stone amphitheater and a rustic pavilion.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the 5-year, $2.2M Campaign for Vermont Commons!

With the dedication and generosity of so many in our community, our campus has transformed from a single building with minimal outdoor space to two buildings in South Burlington with nearly two acres of land and a four season, 55-acre Outdoor Education Center in Charlotte, VT.

SO WHAT’S NEW??

At 55 Green Mountain Drive…

A one-story office building with a sign in front that reads "Stantec"

  • A gymnasium
  • Home-team and away-team changing rooms
  • A multi-room music suite with recording studio
  • A library
  • A film studio
  • A kiln for our growing arts program
  • Additional office and storage space

At the Outdoor Education Center…

  • 55 acres of field, wetland, and forest for study, stewardship, and enjoyment
  • A 1.5-mile trail system
  • A learning village, comprised of a large pavilion, small pavilion, storage area, stone amphitheater, and lawn
  • A 4-season, insulated yurt with wood stove
  • An eco-friendly, composting toilet

Tour the OEC and witness the yurt build virtually through this video by faculty member Mark Cline Lucy and Oscar Lucey ’27.

Scholarship. Community. Global Responsibility.
