The 2013 Summer Reading List is Now Online!

The 2013 Vermont Commons Summer Reading List is now online! Students will be reading Rick Peyser and Bill Mares’ Brewing Change: Behind the Bean at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. The book chronicles Peyser’s efforts to bring the practice of fair trade to Green Mountain Coffee.

As per the rubric, students will also read two books of their choosing from the supplemented reading list, for a total of three books to read this summer. Upon their return in the fall, students will be given a quiz on the Common Text, will give a Presentation on a second book, and will write an Author imitation/Deleted scene and Reflection on the third book. Details on these assignments can be found on the Reading List.
