VCS 8th Grade Taco Fundraiser

This past Thursday, the 8th grade Spanish class’s Tacos for Justice fundraiser was put on. The fundraiser generated an impressive $650 for Migrant Justice! Students put in an incredible amount of work, which was evident in the eye-catching fliers posted around school, a well-run ordering system, and a delicious taco lunch! Everyone from fellow students to faculty to parents were impressed with the care and effort the 8th grade students put into this endeavor. Kudos also to Inés, our 8th grade Spanish teacher, for all of her contributions and leadership and to Taco Gordo for their donations.

Students emerge from their time at Vermont Commons School intrinsically motivated to seek out their role for improving the world, with the skills and competencies to do so.
