Brief Biography
I have happily called Vermont home for most of my life. I grew up in Waitsfield and moved to Lower Waterford, near St. Johnsbury, to attend St. Johnsbury Academy. After a brief stint at a large state university, I yearned for the close connections with teachers and intimate classroom environment that had fostered my love of learning. I transferred to Bennington College and voraciously studied a wide array of subjects, focusing mainly in photography, ceramics, and music history. I also dabbled in studying education, which piqued my interest in working in a school environment. I also worked at Camp Downer in Sharon, VT for 15 years, which was profoundly impactful for me as both a camper and a staff member, and I continue to volunteer there each summer.
