Bethany Gibbs

Chair, Board of Trustees

Brief Biography

Bethany has harbored a secret desire to attend VCS since she discovered its existence when she moved to Vermont over 20 years ago. She is quite happy to satisfy that desire as a parent of a high school student and middle school student and by serving on the Board of Trustees.

Bethany grew up in Connecticut with her parents and three sisters. She attended the University of Rochester, where she received her B.A. in Environmental Science. She also holds a Master’s in Public Health in Environmental Health from Boston University. She divides her time between Shelburne and Stowe with her husband, daughters, and husky, Bodhi. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding and snowboarding.

Bethany served on the Board of Directors for the ECHO Center for seven years and and the Board of the Bellwether School for five years.
